Don’t Run too fast

In the today’s competitive world every one want to race as fast as possible. Is it really required in our life? We need to speed up at some places, but is not warranted at all time. When one tries to accelerate where it is not required, the nature takes its own course and brings down the pace.

What ever you call - nature or circumstances or almighty, it has its own way to teach us lesson and is more costly. Take the pace in life, but cautiously.

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and drove the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car, shouting, "What was that all about and who are you?

Just what the heck are you doing?

That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money.

Why did you do it?"

The young boy was apologetic.

"Please mister ... please, I'm sorry... I didn't know what else to do," he pleaded."I threw the brick because no one else would stop..."

With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out his fancy handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.

"Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger.Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the little boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home. It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us.

It's our choice: Listen to the whisper ... or wait for the brick!

If you forgot at any point in life this lesson, follow the driver and do not paint the dent so that it keeps you alert on the highways of life and no new dents are hit.

Once upon a time there was a wise man that used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.

Star Fish
As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?"

The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean."

"I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"

"The sun is up, and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."

"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach, and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said, "It made a difference for that one."

This type of situation many times in our lives and of the time we are ignorant and don’t make a difference in the life of the dyeing fish whereas most of the changes in the world have come with a small start. While making the first move forward its difficult to imagine to what altitude it may grow.

The success and growth needs continuous efforts irrespective of praise and criticism by others. Like the Young man in the above story one has to have trust in own deeds. This inspires others to join hands to make a great movement.

Reliance is the biggest corporate success of independent India. Its foundation lies in a small trading of polyester yarn. Pantaloon & Big Bazaar is a remarkable success in retail business of India. Can we accept that before 10 years the promoters were in a very trade of weaving and garmenting.

Dhirubhai Ambani and Kishor Biyani had faith in themselves. They were confident that whatever they were doing was correct and kept on putting their best efforts. Their hard work and sincere efforts attracted others and history was created. They knew that they could make a difference to the world.
